Do you follow the rule not to wear white after Labor Day?

I remember when I went away to college at Southern Methodist University in Dallas my aunt sent me a book with the rules of being a Southern Belle. One of the rules was to never wear white after Labor Day. Fashion has a lot to do with confidence and making up your own rules. Fashion should be fun too, and really not have any rules or boundaries.

Winter white was all over the Fall 2012 runways, so I think we can expect to see a lot of people crossing the boundaries way beyond Labor Day.

Happy Labor Day everyone! I hope you’re all having a wonderful time with family and friends. Stay safe.

Kim’s E-Mail Apology

Kourtney Kardashian Kim Email Apology to Khloe and Rob
Kim's email apology

If you saw last Sunday’s episode of Keeping Up with the Kardashians, you’ll know that there was a little bit of family drama going on, which resulted in an emotional therapy session.

On tonight’s episode, Kim sends an apology e-mail to us all, but Rob and Khloe aren’t exactly thrilled with the way she handles the situation.

What do you guys think? Do you send apologies over e-mail or text message… or is it best to do it face to face?

Tune in tonight at 9/8c on E!

Vintage Poster of 1930s ‘Ideal Woman’

I came across this and thought it was really cool. This is a real sheet from the 1930s outlining the measurements for the ‘ideal on-screen woman,’ drawn from 13 actresses of the day, including Greta Garbo, Clara Bow and Gilda Gray, compared against actress Anita Page. It’s an interesting reflection on the past. So crazy how they’ve listed exact measurements, right down to the neck and the wrists!

Click through the gallery to see the 13 actresses who made up the ‘ideal screen type.’
