In this week’s mommy blog I talk about the importance of taking naps, and sleeping when your baby does! I was nursing until Mason was 14 months old so I found that having Mason sleep in bed with me was the best way to get the best night’s sleep. Of course you have to take the right precautions! We slept on a mattress on the floor with no pillows of blankets, to eliminate any risk of suffocation or Mason falling out of the bed. This is what worked for us, but of course everyone is different.
Hey dolls! In my latest Mommy Blog I talk all about how Scott and I discipline Mason. We haven’t gotten to a place where we feel comfortable giving him time-outs yet, I find it best to sit down and talk to Mason, and so far it’s working, but you never know what will happen in the future. As long as Scott and I are on the same page with regards to the way we discipline and teach Mason lessons, that’s what is most important.
It can definitely be a challenge juggling work commitments and making sure Mason is always my number one priority, but I make sure I always make time for him, no matter what.
I make sure I schedule as many work-related meetings as I can at our home so that I’m not away from Mason, and really take advantage of his nap times to squeeze in some work while he’s asleep. These are just my little tricks for balancing working and being a mom.
One of my absolute favorite places to take Mason is Moomah in NYC! It’s the most amazing place where Mason and I can spend quality time together making arts and crafts and I can take my friends along with me too for a yummy meal! I really miss it now that I’m back in LA.
Hey dolls! Did you guys all have a good weekend?
Here’s my second mommy blog! In this week’s video I talk about Mason‘s fun wooden toys.
I love doing these videos and look forward to sharing more of my mommy stories with you guys.
Mason and I had a very “adult” day of lunch with some girlfrieds at The Peninsula, shopping at Vera Wang, and then off to a sushi dinner with some more girlfriends.
I swapped out my heels for some flats by dinner time, but I will say it was such a mistake to wear heels when running after Mason all day! That is a mommy fashion no no.
Mason is wearing Ralph Lauren shorts and shirt with Janie and Jack loafers.
